Exploring Through Fun & Creativity
Preschool & Pre-K
(Ages 3–6)
​Our preschool and pre-K classrooms are living studios, full of paint-splattered ideas, friendships in progress, and projects that unfold through children’s curiosity. Teachers follow the lead of the group, guiding conversations and investigations that grow into meaningful studies of the world. We don’t rush readiness. We nurture thinkers, problem-solvers, and compassionate community members ready to enter kindergarten with confidence and wonder.
Toddlers
(Ages 1–2½)
Our toddler program is built around connection. Through consistent routines, caring relationships, and play that honors the whole child, toddlers learn to express needs, explore safely, and test their growing independence. Teachers act as gentle co-regulators and guides, kneeling to listen, naming feelings, and celebrating the small big moments: a shared laugh, a first jump, a new word and every peek-a-boo along the way.
Early Preschool / The Finches Room
(Ages 2½–3½)
The Finches bridge the world between toddlerhood and preschool. These are the brave years of potty training, big emotions, and endless “I can do it myself.” Our teachers create an environment that balances independence with support, offering clear rhythms, playful challenges, and a community that celebrates every new skill and discovery. The Finches room is where belonging takes root and confidence takes flight.
Saturdays at The Nest (Ages 1–6)
Not every family fits a Monday–Friday routine. Saturdays at The Nest offers reliable, play-based weekend care for Spokane’s working parents, and a joyful Saturday of friendship and discovery for children. The day follows the same Reggio-inspired rhythm our weekday programs are known for: rich sensory play, outdoor adventures, creative exploration, and the comfort of familiar teachers.
Music Together®
(Ages 1-6)
Through rhythm, song, and movement, children and families experience the joy of shared music-making. Our Music Together program invites families into playful, research-backed musical exploration that supports language, coordination, emotional expression, and connection. It’s not about performing, it’s about belonging through music.
Babysitting Nights
(1-12 year olds)
A trusted evening for parents, a magical one for kids. Our Babysitting Nights are filled with stories, art, movement, and cozy pajamas, all led by our Nest teachers who know the children best. Families can enjoy a night out knowing their little ones are safe, happy, and probably asking to come back again next time.
